What justification did they give ? Towergate,, X Mardon Marine. Told me it was due to increased claims last year. You can imagine my comments. Been with them since 2007 and never seen the like. They have algorithms to try on price increases with customers that they suspect will pay without question. They have worked out that is how they can maximize their profits, even if a percentage of customers don't renew. Sometimes you have to just leave. I had the same a few years back, mine had always matched Porthcawl price when asked, then suddenly decided not to. It was very easy to move to Porthcawl and I must say that I am happy that I did. Less than I paid Towergate last year and saving a massive amount on renewal. Over £370 saved. How Towergate expected me to roll over for that I don't understand and questioning them, Towergate would not back down. I have all the cover unchanged and suits my needs perfectly.
