First ray is a small eyed ray.

I think the second ray is a Spotted Ray. ( Can tell difference between spotted and blonde rays because the spots don't go right to the edge of the wings. )

If you were fishing xray then never seen Blonde Rays caught from there. Had Spotted, Small Eyed ( mostly ) and Thornbacks from there.

I tried various marks and a 9oz plaice was the only one.

A hard day made better with a John Dory only small which went back strong after some pics.

Now if it had been a ......how many dogfish can you catch comp....I might of been in with a chance on one mark laugh.gif

Great to see some members today although I'm still rubbish at identifying boats, sat down tide of Boblin for thirty minutes until i noticed it blink.gif

Was a cracking day to be on the water

I headed out with the intention of fishing my favourite ray mark but for some reason (and I have no idea what that reason is) I changed my mind about 300 yards short of my proposed spot.

A 2 1/2lB Tub Gurnard was a nice sight, followed by numerous tope and doggioes. A single 1lb 5oz turbot was our only recordable fish (but a welcome addition to my species list).
