Alas, Feisty will be ashore, so the "stealth" / traditional angling boat contingent might not be fully represented this time around :)

It would be much better if there's a host of more typical angling boats.

I look forward to seeing the result!

Quote Rob:  (  Easterly slop isn't fun!!!  )

Not too bad with plenty of salt & pepper and some fresh bread to dip in it !  :D

Thanks for looking at it Rob.

It's still looking doable at the moment.  ;)

Greetings all,

I think I'd better ask what time people want to start on Sunday morning.
I think early is best to avoid other boats' wakes and the wind is less in the morning and increasing later.

I'm happy for Cobb's Quay users to catch the ½7 lift and meet up in the Harbour or similar.

Some of you may want a lie-in.

Would a 7:45 rendezvous in the Harbour be OK ?

Also, for legal reasons, I have to ask you all if it's OK to fly above or near you and to film you.

If you turn up it will be deemed that you accept this. Also you will all be under my control or that of my crew (volunteers) on the day.

Obvious I know but the rules a very tight.

I am insured so in the unlikely event of a problem you are covered.

Let us know your thoughts please.

Steve, will we see a kayak? Could you grab a lift with one of the bigger boats?

Rob

Got to go to the smoke.

Not sure on your schedule for editing, but the Swanage Classic is only two weeks away. Could get some good footage?

You can have a bit of my footage if it's easier. I guess you only need about 5 seconds?

Right.

The plan now is: The filming will be done from Martin's boat.

Martin at the helm.

Me as pilot.

And Steve M has kindly volunteered his services as my crew / catch & release officer.

We should have enough batteries for just under an hour total filming so plan your wish lists working on 12 minute flying slots and we'll see what we can do.

Sunday Morning 7:30 bridge for Cobb's users.

Well it looks like I'm going to miss all the fun of watching a four fingered Kentwood whisk with flashing lights terrorizing small boats and then to top it off will allso have to miss the alderney trip . I afraid I'm home alone with the puppy plus some work thrown in to the mix while the wife is away annoying the locals in Alaska don't know how I'm going to cope with the work bit !!

Steve:

Yes they are rechargeable. Luckily I bought a car charger a while ago although I've not used it yet.

Charging time is a couple of hours on mains so I don't know what it's like with the car charger.

I have four batteries. List price £100 each.

Listed flying time is 25 minutes. But I have a Gimball & a GOPRO which brings the time to about 14 - 15 minutes.

Add to that the return home not working and as batteries get low it will land in the sea.

Probably manage a re charge at some point.

Adam & Graham and anyone else:

Would it be worth a later start ?

Is there a bridge lift at 8:30 ?

Is it worth bringing a fishing rod and have a slightly later rendezvous for filming?

If the wind gets up too much I'll stop flying. Drones are expensive y'know ! !
