Please see IUCN Red List: http://www.iucnredlist.org/apps/redlist/details/161425/0 "The most recent ICES advice (2008) is for no target fishing in the North Sea, English Channel and Celtic Seas." Such a shame as they are great looking fish. Have a limited distribution and are endangered. I think the Club is very right to ban them from our Open. If we lead the way others may follow. Paul D Posted April 2, 2012 Report Share Posted April 2, 2012 Undulates are protected in that they are not allowed to be landed by commerical fisherman under the CFP. Recreational Sea Anglers are allowed to land them but this is discouraged ( by our club ). In Scotland though they have just brought in regulations which apply to RSA's which also prevent landing undulates ( and Skate / Shark ).
