Ooops! Yes, sorry. Forgot the B.A.S.S trophy.

I thought the inclusion of the B.A.S.S. Catch & Release Prize was an excellent idea.

It brought a welcome new dimension to the competition, and got the competitors thinking about different tactics on the day.

Some competitors were a bit sceptable about the trophy prior to the event, but I was pleased to hear people postively discussing B.A.S.S at the weigh-in and prize giving, and interested in who had won. Even if some of it was at the expense of our Conversation Officer, who mistakingly put a winning fish back without photographing or recording it. rolleyes.gif

Anyway, all of this helps B.A.S.S. to promote their cause.

Hmm, we'll have to have a look through the return slips Gordon and see if we (I)missed it.

Paul J, can you see if Gordon's slip is in the green envelope?

Guys,

I think this is the problem, despite having the fish weighed twice, once by Paul on the table scales and Charlie on the big ones, no one gave me return slip! As it was the first competition that I have actually weighed a fish in didn't know I had to get one.

Lesson learnt for next time.

Gordon

The return slip is your part of the entry form which would have been given back to you or whoever signed in for you at the registration. We would have needed this if you weighed in a fish as proof of entry into the competition. This is clearly stated in the rules a copy of which you would/should have received at the registration.

Anyways never mind you wouldnt have been in the prizes, just means you will remain unfamous like me weep.gif

Martin,

Yes it all went wrong when our paperwork got left in the car because we were in such a rush to get out fishing. Anyway, at least in this competition I can feel quietly confident that I could have made a place on the leader board if it had not been for a minor technicality.

Not deterred by this I
