Paul D Posted September 30, 2005 Report Share Posted September 30, 2005 Many thanks all. The trip on Valkyrie went very well considering the weather. Only doggies and a conger for me and I lost a big ray when my braid broke ( was using 25lb braid on the new 20-50lb Fladden Solid-C rod - I think tte braid must have been weakened somewhere ) but an enjoyable trip nonetheless. One of the blokes fishing with us showed the way though with a bass of 11lb 8 oz after only 15 mins fishing and then went on to catch another of around 5 lb. Astounded at how well the cat handled the big seas. There is no way we would have fished the conditions in anything else.
