Do we have either anywhere in the club?

I'll be needing a decent amount of 12mm for a new warp, and a new set of graphics making up. I have contacts Ive used in the past, but just wondered if we had anyone in the club?

Adam, Gael force marine do 220 m coils at a reasonable price. I need to set up a warp of 14 mm to work with windlass on Redfin.

We normally work with a 220 m length so don't worry too much about how much we use. Think space might be an issue on the anchor locker with 14mm so thinking of trying to reduce a bit how much warp do you generally work with?

Pete we use 12mm nylon to get a full coil in the locker.

Never had a problem with the strength of the rope

Nearly said never had a problem, then I remembered a four hour tow (thanks Dave) after getting the rope around the props

Peter, Can't you just have a short amount of 14mm for shallow water / windless use. Then have the Buoy for deeper water.

Rob

I use 25 m of 14mm rope plus chain on the winch for shallow water and 170m of 12mm multi-plait for deep water anchoring with an alderney ring an an 7.5 kg bruce

Thanks Adam

The second time it was not my rope.

We are still using an alderney ring system to lift the anchor, when out deep

But the new capstan whips in the rope without any effort.

There is less rope and calibrated chin on the other capstan for inshore use
