So, did you guys get to Hayling in the end? And how was the fishing?

For us armchair types it's good to hear a tale of otheres fortunes and misfortunes.

Of course total and amusing cock ups are the BEST of tales so if any one wants to spill the beans on someone else, got to it with a good heart. laugh.gif

Mike:

Yeah we went...but not to Hayling. Reports of a Plaice match on Friday where 200 anglers could just 2 Plaice put us off!! ohmy.gif

Went to Poole instead. See Catch Reports for a full run down.

As for cock-ups....my engine dramas were about right for that!!!!!

Perhaps James would be advised to check out the numbers on your other post about servicing Adam.

Poor starting is a symptom of problems that are exagerated by infrequant use.

Add New or clean plugs,

Drain the carbs and fuel tank of old fuel and water,

Fill tank with fresh fuel.

Charge the battery fully.

and I expect she would go without problems.

But a good service is the best idea, [ James now I believe] will not want to tow her a long way and not be able to start her.

I believe she was Serviced fairly recently, Charlie. She certainly had new spark plugs.

The engine seemed to be flooding all the time, and petrol kept dripping out of the carb. We suspected that the float was stuck.

But I think she was just p**sed at Adam for leaving her for a new love... biggrin.gif
