lofty Posted August 10, 2015 Report Share Posted August 10, 2015 Martin Payne, one of Heroes on the Water UK first users, there are now many,was on holiday in Poole with the family and hooked up with me for a trip out. Martin is no stranger to Poole as he is a Royal Marine and spent lots of time in the area before leaving through injury following an IED in Afghanistan I believe . I arranged to meet him and Geordie Brian at Knoll beach for a nine am launch We took advantage of the small tide and glorious weather to look for bass and rays but unfortunately didn't find either . Annoyingly I broke a rod while casting a Dexter wedge. The fishing was slow but a few wrasse made an appearance.
