Mal Thomas
Taking advantage of some good weather, I promised the missus some bream for tea. Could I come up with the goods or would it be a tale of woe and a lost anchor? Looking out to the ledge, two boats out there. Would they be on my mark? Not quite, thankfully. Dropped the anchor and put on my newly tied rig, small hooks and tiny pieces of squid lowered down.No action on the charter boat, was I wasting my time? Thinking about what to do with the other rod my attention was drawn to my rod bent over in the rod holder. A cracking 2lb plus male bream was on board. Wow... that was quick. How lucky am I? Within the next twenty minutes another three on board. The following half a dozen were all returned. What a trip! Mission accomplished. Happy to go in with a feeling of satisfaction. Within two hours we were dining on lovely fresh bream. That's how fishing used to be. Jamie W, Paul D, Kingfisher 126 and 2 others
