Mike,

 

I consider gurnard one of the best eating fish in the sea.

 

Lightly poached, whole mit the old fish kettle... tongue.gif ................ rolleyes.gif

Mikey, try and wrap a whole gurnard in foil, fill the belly cavity with a few herbs, and a slice of lemon or lime, and bake it in the oven.........well tasty. Or.........fill a casserole with a tin of chopped tomatoes, chopped basil, finely sliced n diced onion, slightly sweated, whole prawns, and two or three small gurnard cut into three inch sections, and bang that in the oven for 40 mins on a med heat.....now that is sluvvverly.

 

Mind you, if you have a lobster pot, bait it with gurnard, and you are virtually guaranteed a lobster!!!! wink.gif
