Looked at the weather and it was changing to SW for Today so we decided to go and have a little " pootle " around. We went to various little spots for a dangle but only had a couple of Mackerel just past the end of hook sands. ( Jacqui likes Mackerel fishing ) ( I started to type " feathering " ) but I knew Rob would be in like a shot ! As ever, The Tiddler behaved herself and handled the sea conditions superbly. I think I used about ½ a Crown's worth of fuel ( anyone under 50 ask an old git ) I have caught plenty of rays though and feeling quite scorched. Saw Boblin on the way back in. Jim Posted August 12, 2016 Author Report Share Posted August 12, 2016 3rd time this year. The Tiddler gets out. Just a quick trip to get the Grand kids out. Launched at about 9:15 Had a quick try in front of Brownsea castle. . . . .No joy there Went to the end of the training bank . . . . No joy there but didn't expect to do any good as there was a net all the way along it. Went further out on an almost flat calm sea, Beautiful. Feathered for a while. caught 4 maccies and hooked and lost quite a few more. The older two kids wanted to stay out longer but Grandad had to come back in as I had a meeting to go to. Back at the slip before 11:30 Lovely to get out again and the kids enjoyed it too so we're all happy.
