Personally, Id go to the Canford Boat Jumble this Sun. Last year they had loads of bits like this flying around - I missed them as I was too late! Coddy Posted March 24, 2004 Report Share Posted March 24, 2004 Hi, You need to be careful when adding hatches to boats as a friend had a safety inspection carried out on his boat and had to reverse the opening to prevent water entering straight into the boat. SAFETY HAZZARD!! A backward opening hatch is not a lot of use for anchoring I know!! If you have a small boat you might get away with it but it will need to be VERY watertight!
