However, I really don't like that method of splicing 3 strand to chain - whilst it does it's best to avoid chafe you can't really see if it's happening and, worse, no rope likes to be under load on a tight bend like that (you know what happens when you tie braid onto a tiny swivel). This one leaves the warp open so you can quickly see if any damage is happening and avoids the tight turn round the chain link. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
