Rob Posted July 9, 2015 Report Share Posted July 9, 2015 We had a great day, 60 anglers, 19 boats spent an exciting day out on the water, reeling in, photographing and then releasing as many species of fish as possible, in hope of taking home the coveted trophy!!!! We had 19 boats, catching 30 species (down 4 from last year) in total between them, 21 on the winning boat (retaing the trophy from last year )was again "Kingfisher". Skippered by Chris Witherford from Poole. Second prize went to SeaWolf,while Marlin, skippered by Greg Toms, took third place. Marlin's crew was 2 juniors (11 yrs olds), one who hadn't fished before, Bradley (Greg's son) scored 50 points and 11 species to take the top junior prize! The Poole Bay Small Boat Angling Club (PBSBAC) ensured no one went home empty handed however, as everyone who entered went home with a prize (that is down to your generosity, thank you). We raised in excess of £650 for Heroes On The Water to aid rehabilitation of wounded heroes who have suffered while carrying out a public duty.
