Anyway I chucked out the feathers and only managed 3 mackrel but strangly I had 7 bass between 2lb and 4 lb. I went out in front of avon beach. Adam F Posted July 19, 2004 Report Share Posted July 19, 2004 Dan, This is certianly not uncommon, but 7 bass to 4lb is a right result!!...better to put them in the freezer than mackerel any day!!! Guest Guest Posted July 20, 2004 Report Share Posted July 20, 2004 Dan, I have found that if the Bass aren't taking live joeys, a rig change to feathers works well, I had 5 bass to 6lb on feathers on my last trip out off the back of the Island, right result!!
