Right chaps!!

I need to get moving if we want to do the trip again next year. As we now know it seems the hard work from the charter guys looks to be paying off and the proposed bag limit restrictions are now under review again - I suggest that even if they do impose some kind of restriction it wont be for a while.

Anyway, it is no secret that we struggled to get numbers this year. For 2007 Chris will have his new boat (so he says....Peter??.. unsure.gif ) which will fish 8 comfortably.

The schedule is likey to be similar to previous years - 4 day trip leaving from Weymouth, a mixture of mid channel wrecking and reef / bank fishing with turbot and brill the main target - this of course is very flexibale, but why go later in the year for say bass and tope when the fishing is so hot this side of the channel...

...I digress..I am looking for 7 names to build the trip around. Costs are yet unconfirmed, but somewhere in the

Guys - please dont hijack this thread off to a tangent.

I am very serious in that I need names ASAP, can we get back on track with anyone who wishes to come on thr trip?

As for dates, well we may be limited now as we are late in the season, but it is up to you lot. We usually go at the begining of May as this is regarded as the best time for the flats, but we could go later (although this would rule me out)

Thanks

I have one name in Alan, provided we go later, and myself.

I am therefore 6 places short, 7 if too late in May as I cant go.

I will leave this post open until the end of the weekend - if I havent had any other serious interest by then I'm afraid that I will have to contact Chris and decline next year.

Adam,

Is Easter time any good ?? First two weeks of April ?

I could go any time then....... we've been struggling a bit here then with our less than successful trips out of Weymouth , bumping along the Shambles, dodging all the other boats for a few , small flatties.

Just the time of year that I need a fillip !

Alun.
