munterhunter Posted March 9, 2004 Report Share Posted March 9, 2004 Fished abbotsbury yesterday afternoon evening and caught tiny pout! never thought would be using size 4's of abbotsbury but had to to catch the buggers managed 25 pout and 3 rockling between us, nothing on big baits! (A waste of 10 peelers 10 frozen peelers only 2.75) . Was a fantastic afternoon sun was shining and realitively warm! Ayway when picked bait up from our bait supplierhe informed me that they have been netting bream to 4lb and smoothhounds from off Swanage. Wether these are transient fish or ones here and feeding I dont know? Is trying to find a mark where there is food present at the moment have a chance for some early summer species?
