blueboatdriver Posted May 17, 2005 Report Share Posted May 17, 2005 Fished on the Patch for about 1 1/2 hrs on Monday. Caught one nice bream (2lbs 10ozs) on the slack. Then tried Ballard. No bream but two Smoothounds one on the bream rod and one on feathers which were only about 20 feet down. Tried the Patch again today. I caught nothing on the ebb but had four nice bream, two on the slack and two as the tide started. I also lost loads of gear on the ebb but only one hook on the flood. Could n't go wrong with mackerel . Workmates and neighbours were pleased. Too many wrasse on both days. I'm off out with Matt tomorrow, hopefully for some tope, you never know.
