bassncodformeplease Posted May 23, 2010 Report Share Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) hi i've got a mercury 60 4 stroke with some probs (DON'T WORK PROPERLY) but before i take it in to have it sorted i'm trying to do it myself. I'd like to know whether my elec Choke works or not, it doesn't seem to do anything when on engine and i can't make it do anything off the engine either, tried wires in all configurations (i think!) but nowt happens any idea's would be Great. HOW TO TEST? Cheers mike update. noticed now that it gets warm if i hold it on terminals for a while doesn't seem to do anything though. Also when i bloked off where choke came from i could manage to get revs upto 3000 which is better than 1800 that it won't run above!
