Guest munetrhunter Posted June 26, 2004 Report Share Posted June 26, 2004 Afetr a big blow mid week and forecsated flat evening friday and a floodingtide decided to dust off the beach gear and goto abbotsbury for a maccy bash and then a bottom fishing session for a chance of a bass and smoothound- that was the plan, however, couldnt catch any mackerel (luckily took a pair with me just in case) Fishing was slow with pout and doggies making up the catch, Mike (beach buddy) lost a possible bass in the surf. I had a monster run on maccy head fished 20 yds out and then hook length swivel parted doh! Weed was a problem and I was getting well pi##ed off with weed on my shock leader knot. and having to walk up the beach to get the fish out of the surf zone!
