JIMBOB
On recent trips to the Island all the charter boats on the marks we have been fishing were useing floats. Is any one familiar with this technique? Ive never seen it used before. They seem to be useing a large cigar float, ball weight and live mackrel and catching every drift! The depth of water is from 27 to 60ft so they must be fishing quite shallow. Has anyone tryed this method ,if so shed some light? Paul J
I Saw those guys fishing the bridge like that, i think it's to do with some many anglers drifting really snagging ground that would normally be a nightmare on a charter boat Paul J
Newboy
John Skeggs does a lot of floating fishing for bass. Don't think it has much to do with snag, it's more where the fish are. However, he would only do it if there aren't too many anglers onboard.
