Before entering the ward ,the Chief Consultant had emphasised to him how amazingly cheerfull every patient was,despite thier terrible predicaments. In the first bed ,the patient had lost both arms.But with a big smile,he assured the Duke that he was fine and had learned to paint and draw using his feet. In the next bed the patient had neither arms or legs. But once again,smiling broadly he assured the Duke that,he was very well and happy,and that he was operating a computer,using a rod gripped in his teeth. The Duke was very impressed. However,,,at the next bed there was just a head on the pillow,and it was sobbing bitterly. "what on earth is the matter with this chap ?",asked the Duke. " Oh take no notice" said the consultant.
