Alan kindly invited me out on Saturday looking for Plaice & Triggers, we must have been in the right area as nearly half the charter fleet were in the same place but we could not connect up with anything!

Went out a bit deeper and found the kennel club but nothing else so came back inshore and tried again.

Managed a few scad, gurnards and a single mackerel but nothing else.

Meet and had a chat with Court Jester who seemed to have had a good day and managed catch our target species plus a coddling

Alan posed to get a few photo's of his super new boat and we then headed in, however we missed the tide and had to wait a bit until enough water had filled the harbour to get the boat back to Parkstone.

Thanks for the trip Alan and sorry we could not get some more species for your list.

Dave

Neal took us out to try some inshore banks where we had doggies and smoothies.

A move into the bay where we drifted finding plenty of plaice, tubs and scad. Then Neal latched into something that took line. After a brief tussle a good trigger fish surfaced - 2lb 14oz. A short while later my fancy plaice rig was snaffled by a 3lb codling. Not to be outdone Neal found another trigger. A most enjoyable day, thanks Neal.
