pirky Posted April 18, 2010 Report Share Posted April 18, 2010 Soz about your last minute let down .......... a bummer when you have planned a foray. My own experience of recovering alone is not the best.....but some of the guys do it often. Lovely day with light winds does make it easier. Bater is a very slack incline and trailer will travel quite a way down the slope to get into water..........watch out for the drop off at the end if you go in lower tide conditions ( a bugger to get back up onto the conc ). Wick is shorter and slightly steeper but still has a drop off at end.. Advice I was given is NOT to get trailer in too deep but to winch the boat onto the trailer when wheels are about axle deep.
