  1. Tiddler gets out. We decided earlier in the week to try to get out Friday afternoon. I'd been watching the forecasts and wind was expected. I looked out from my office window and the trees were whackering about all over the place. The wind speed was forecast to increase in the afternoon so I thought perhaps I'd better not go. I sent a text to Jacqui saying that I thought it best not to go because of the wind. Pansy ! was her reply. Right ! ! I was straight on the phone to order some worms. Yes it was breezy. Yes there was weed all over the place. But it was lovely out there. We stayed in the harbour. I had 2 small bass & a small bream. One of the Bass was deeply hooked and it took a while to get the hook out. I struggled to get my head around throwing back a fish that was almost dead. I know it's all down to people who abuse the rules & spoil it for the rest of us. I had a hard job explaining it all to Jacqui. It floated away on it's back so I guess some seagulls had a very nice supper. Saw Big Col & Bobi on Boblin2 and stopped for a quick natter. This was Tiddlers first trip out this year and we both enjoyed it. Jim
  2. Jacqui & myself decided to take Tiddler out for a bit of Mackerel bashing. She was at her parents' in the morning so I got the boat ready. We launched at about 2:00 pm and made our way out of the harbour. It was quite lumpy for such a little boat but not dangerous. We stopped and had a little try about ½ mile out. No joy there so I decided to head out further. We spotted Nigel & Mal on Wishin Too and stopped to say hello ( Nige took a picture ) ( as proof that Tiddler got out I think ) I hope he's gonna post it on here for me. There wasn't much doing on the maccy front so Jacqui got her book out and left her feathers in the water ( just in case ) I had six & a Gurnard during the afternoon and Jacqui had none. ( That makes a change, she usually gets more than me ) We had a great afternoon but as it got later the Sun disappeared and the wind increased so we headed back in. Only Tiddler's second time out this year but very enjoyable. Charged up my phone but forgot to take it so no photos ( Silly sausage ) Jim
