Fisheagle had quite a productive day. Nothing very unusual in terms of species and a few of the harder summer ones were sadly lacking. Spoke to several Club boats on Ch 6. Everyone seemed to be getting a few fish and enjoying the sunny if slightly breezy conditions. Total boat species on the day was 17. Mike will add some pictures shortly.

Boblin had a pleasant day, with an assortment of species. We might have had a few more species if a small pod of 4 Dolphins hadn’t decided to befriend us for over an hour. They were hunting directly under us it was very interesting to see 1 Dolphin would break away and chase what ever they were after towards the other 3. Who cares about the fishing when you can watch these wonderful mammals.

Our list is:

Cuckoo Wrasse

Ballan Wrasse

Goldsinny Wrasse

Baillons Wrasse

Goby

Black Bream

Smoothound

Plaice

LSD

Conger

Pout

So a total of Eleven for us

Madness had loads of Bream, dogfish, pout, conger, mackerel (on worm) so only 5 species but it was a very busy day with very little breeze down the xchurch ledge way.  Also had a brittle starfish so that Mark could be interesting later in the autumn/winter

Loobie 1V had IAN Simpson on board who I hadn’t see for 24 months, he hadn’t changed🤣🤣🤣 and Jerry 2.

We had a relaxed but busy day catching 18 Species including

Small Eyed Ray

LSD

Black Bream

Conger

Red Gurnard

Ballan Wrasse

Baillons Wrasse

Corkwing Wrasse

Goldsinny Wrasse

Bass

Thin lipped Mullet

Tope

Turbot

Poor Cod

Tompot Blenny

Mackerel

Pout

Plaice

The most exciting thing about the day was the huge amounts of Mackerel everywhere, just like the old days, brilliant.

Unfortunately for us the first of half a dozen Plaice came 20 minutes after our 7hrs fishing time. So 17 species.

I will confirm results in 12-24 hours.

Jerry

Wendy and I had a great day

Lovely to see so many mackerel around and like Sam we got totally distracted by the Tope fishing, we had over 20 in the short period that we could fish out there on those tides. Wendy had a PB of over 30lb [Unweighed]

Then we went inshore and tried for some bream while the breeze blew.

Last move saw us on a ray spot

Total for us 10

Mac

Tope

Blonde Ray

Undulate Ray

Smoothound

Plaice

Bass

Black Bream

LSD

Conger

We slept on the boat overnight and stated fishing inshore early on Sunday [well I did Wendy was in bed asleep], I had 4 other species, in an hour. LOL

Well

We left Cobbs om the 10.30 Bridges on Saturday, for the first two and half hours I could not get a single fish on board. Did everything wrong, I thought I was going to blank it was that bad.

So off to the good old Poole Patch for sanctuary,

So here it goes,

Bream, Bream, Bream, Bream, Bream, Dragonette, Bream, Bream, Bream, Bream,

Bream, Bream, Smoothound, Bream, Bream, Bream, Bream, Bream, Bream, Conger,

Bream, Bream, Bream, Bream and Ballan Wrasse !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So 5 species from me. 😒
