Weather was crap ,very low cloud misty and drizzling vis about 50m . A helicopter roared overhead at really low altitude followed by a roaring as a Peter Stuyvesant Cigarette boat flew past at probably 80mph within our 50m vis on the port side closely followed by another power boat at high speed on the starboard side. Skipper commented in between expletives that he had forgotten it was the powerboat race and there was no point in moving as we couldn't out run them. Mal Thomas Posted May 27, 2021 Report Share Posted May 27, 2021 Please beware of the high speed Zap cats and Off shore speed boats on both Saturday and Sunday 12.30 -5.00pm around the Poole bay, starting off the piers and doing circular laps crossing the Poole patch and Ballard areas.
