Hi all

Just thought I'd introduce myself, I live in Broadstone, having moved here last year I've been wanting to start fishing which I did last year (with not much luck 1 bass in three months) I have taken the plunge and gone and bought a boat today, this is after trawling adverts for the last 30 years, as I've never had the guts to buy a boat as I lived in Bedfordshire, now in Poole I have no excuse to not have a boat lol.

Hopefully I've bought a good one and will look forward to taking her out.

I'm after as much advise and knowledge I can get on boating in and around Poole from this site.

As I've been reading many articles on here and look forward to meeting some of you and enjoying fishing in Poole on my boat.

Hi Retro

Welcome to the forum

I would suggest the best thing to do is join the club as you will get loads of help if you need it and just by asking.

I too live in Broadstone and would you believe I too moved here from Bedfordshire, good choice!

I am the Safety Officer of the club so if you need any help just ask.

Our next Club meeting is our AGM which will be on Thursday 3rd April at 8pm

We meet upstairs in the Trades and Labour Club in Ashley Road, Parkstone. (Next door to the Esso garage)

Hope to see you there if you can make it.

Dave

That was my thought Brian

Imagine the scene .........

Me " hello is that the coastguard"

CG "yes"

Me "I'm in trouble I have no idea where I am"

CG "ok don't panic, what boat are you in?"

Me "I'm the really big bloke waving in the bright yellow tiny boat"

CG "ok we see you"

So it might have it's benefits eh ? I'm not a white boat in a sea of white boats :0)

Thanks rob that's exactly why I bought this boat is to get experience on the water and if I get on well I'll move onto bigger and better things in a couple of years.

Look forward to bumping into you lofty ... Well not literally lol

Charlie ... Hello back ... Seems you are a man of many words :)

Been down to the quay today about moring it at the quay for a week to leave it in the water to make it a bit easier to have ago as it were. Also would be able to take my daughter out for her birthday in her birthday gift ... A life jacket :)
