Not sure about Pennel you would need about a dozen hooks they were 7'long. and as Sam said while we were watching the TV " You would need to leave the bite for a while to get a cod to swallow that" about two weeks should do it son In fact as they weigh so much and swim at 20 knots, leave the cod and just enjoy catching the bait.
