I have just re-completed my RYA First Aid course at Powerboat Training UK

It has been a number of years since I did my first course and so needed to update my knowledge and get another certificate for the next 3 years.

Can recommend Powerboat Training UK as a training business, as many know we use them for our club members.

A couple of tips that my be useful to pass on

If you need to call the emergency services on a mobile phone try using 112 instead of 999 as it sends GPS coordinates to the call centre from where you are calling from, it should also put you in touch with an English speaking person wherever you are.

Also there is a free First Aid app from  St. Johns Ambulance for both iPhone & android which gives you hints and tips on many symptoms you may come across, it also shows you how to use a defibrillator should you have one near by.

The course now shows you, in practical terms how to use one as well.

I would recommend as many people as possible to go on this course as it updates you on the latest information and techniques as well as covering you for work requirements.
